Marty (who we now call Bear) was pulled from a very high-kill shelter in Mobile, AL after he was dumped at a local housing complex. He was labeled as a Shiba Inu on their website and Shiba Inu Rescue of Florida stepped up with their huge hearts and pulled him for rescue this past Saturday July 27 2013. SURPRISE! The vet says, he's a Chow Chow not a Shiba Inu. We need to find Teddy the appropriate Chow Chow rescue group or furever home so that Teddy can be loved and appreciated for the handsome guy he is. Teddy has been tested for aggression and shows none with other dogs, cats or children which I've been told he loves. Teddy is ... (Read More)around 7 months old and still having some teeth come in. Teddy is also still intact, meaning he has NOT been neutered yet. Teddy's adoption fee is negotiable since he still needs to be neutered and shots updated. Although Teddy is a member of Shiba Inu Rescue of Florida, they feel it's not fair to keep him and that he should find either a furever home or a Chow Chow rescue that can properly network Teddy as the breed he is.
